Dental Care Alliance (DCA) supports 384 practices across 24 states and continues to grow through both new construction and affiliations. As their footprint expanded, CTO CJ Nocella needed a technology partner that could deliver finished results with minimal oversight, follow DCA standards precisely, and flex capacity when workloads spike.
DCA first engaged MellinTech in 2017 during an affiliation onboarding project and MellinTech has since become a trusted partner for new builds, standards-driven conversions, and high volume field work.
Simultaneous ground‑up projects and affiliation cutovers made it difficult to keep schedules tight and technology consistent from office to office. Ad‑hoc vendors varied in quality and required too much guidance. CJ looked for a single partner that understood dental environments, could read drawings and standards, and would simply deliver the end result.
Early engagements with MellinTech proved out the model, including a busy 2018 period that saw dozens of newly affiliated offices brought up to DCA standards. Over time, MellinTech became the go‑to option when timelines were aggressive or internal bandwidth was stretched.
When a practice needs technology work, such as cabling a new operator, mounting A/V, placing sensors, or preparing a cutover, DCA sends a work order with standards, drawings, and photos. MellinTech assigns a vetted technician who follows the checklist, documents the work, and flags only true exceptions.
If questions come up, escalations to MellinTech leadership are handled very quickly so jobs stay on track. The result is a predictable, low‑touch process that keeps CJ’s internal team focused on strategy rather than coordinating site visits.
• High-volume affiliation onboarding
Roughly 50 offices were completed over five to six months, allowing the internal team to stay focused on supporting live practices.
• Consistency at scale
Coordinated multi-site programs for M&A conversions and technology upgrades, from discovery and standards through site execution and closeout.
• Flexible expansion point
MellinTech absorbs surges in construction and conversion work so schedules hold.
DCA plans to continue leaning on MellinTech for new builds and affiliations as growth accelerates in key regions. The focus remains the same: deliver to standards, finish on time, and keep internal resources focused on strategic priorities.
Since 2002, MellinTech has partnered with multi-location organizations to plan, build, and standardize technology across offices nationwide. We focus on three things:
1. New Construction: Design and installation for network, low-voltage cabling, Wi-Fi, A/V, and device connectivity so every site is ready on day one.
2. Rollouts: Coordinated multi-site programs for M&A conversions and technology upgrades, from discovery and standards through site execution and closeout.
3. Moves, adds, and changes: On-site field services to relocate, replace, or expand equipment, cabling, and racks across existing offices with minimal disruption.
